Junior Manchester Giants
This weekend, Junior Manchester Giants player Lukass Bankevics will suit up for the Dubai Falcons Academy at the 27th La Roda U12 International Basketball Tournament in La Roda, Spain.
La Roda U12 is considered one of the best basketball tournaments in the world for that age group, attracting top teams and offering a high level of competition. He’ll face competition from some of Europe’s most renowned youth programmes including Real Madrid, FC Bayern Basketball, The Travel Team and Next Hoops.
Performance Director Jordi Pastor sees the opportunity in the wider context of the club's growth:
“The Junior Giants are increasingly receiving invitations for our players to play against Europe’s best. From international tournaments to individual opportunities like this, we believe our players deserve to play against this incredible standard of competition.”
