Three Manchester-area schools enjoyed a day to remember at the 2025 Jr. NBA North West Finals, with strong performances that saw them take home gold and bronze medals.
Ashton on Mersey School captured the Year 8 championship and in the Year 7 competition Didsbury High School also went all the way. St Monica’s RC High School added to the medal haul with a well-earned bronze in the Year 8 competition. Each squad featuring players from the Jr Manchester Giants who represented their schools and led them to podium placements.
Organised by Basketball England, the Jr. NBA programme is part of a global grassroots partnership with the NBA that introduces young people to the sport through school competitions. Congratulations to all the schools involved and to all the Junior Giants who took part.
